Principal | Interior Designer
In 2000, Magda graduated from Humber College’s Interior Design program and went straight to work with Irving at Ellman Design. Stemming from a Visual and Fine Arts background, she quickly established herself as a creative, conceptual designer, as well as being technically proficient. She has taken the lead creative role in developing design solutions for many projects in the corporate, hospitality and institutional sectors, and has played the role of Project and Facility Manager on some major accounts. After nearly 15 years operating as Irving’s right hand, the torch was passed along and Magda became principal. She immediately set out to build upon the solid, time-honoured foundation of Ellman Design, reinventing the brand, the office and the approach to client services. She has been responsible for on-going tenant planning and design for Bentall Kennedy and Medallion Corporation, and design/implementation for projects with Desjardins, Kagan Shastri LLP and York University.
Magda is NCIDQ Certified, as wells as a registered member of ARIDO and IDC. She is fully committed to sustainable design and is a LEED AP.

Mark A. Woodman
Mark began his creative journey in Graphic Design, back before the age of computers. It was there he learned the essential design principals that would lay the foundation for his career ahead. He then attended St. Clair College where he studied both Architectural Technology and Interior Design concurrently, while pursuing his AutoCAD Certificate. He ultimately graduated with Interior Design – the perfect marriage between the architecture and graphic design. After graduation, he moved westward to Vancouver where he worked as a Project Assistant for A&W Food Services of Canada, Inc., first meeting James Waterfall and on his return to Ontario in 2004, Mark did his first tour with Ellman Design as in Interior Designer. In 2009, he returned to school again to explore a Web Design post-graduate at Sheridan Collage. After graduation, he received multiple awards for his designs, and worked as a freelance artist and later as an Intermediate Web Designer for the publisher of Oxygen and Musclemag magazines. In 2014 – Mark came to work for Ellman Design Studio again, this time under the direction of his former classmate and long-time friend, Magda Robak.
