Evolution of a Logo

In 2014, after the ink dried and the dust settled during the change of ownership, our next task was to begin the rebranding process. Our goal was to develop a modern looking logo, but also something that could stand up over time and not require another rework for at least a few years. The goal was to also pay tribute to the founder of Ellman Design and pay homage to his 30+ years of industry experience. Armed with nothing but a Sharpie, Irving laid down the foundation of what was to be the new look of the company, by signing a blank piece of paper.

After several variations, we finally settled on the logo that adorns the top of this website…
